AMD has announced an upgraded game bundle for fans of by-the-numbers sequels. They’re back with another ‘Raise the Game’ bundle offer on select AMD Radeon RX graphics cards, advertising a package of games which includes Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint or Borderlands 3, and Gears 5.
Well, it’s sort of Gears 5, but not really. You get three months of Xbox Game Pass for PC thrown into the mix, which means eligible customers can get access to the full library of Xbox Game Pass titles, including Gears 5, for three months.
It’s a bit of a complicated bundle really, the sort that needs its own chart.
If you buy a Radeon VII, Radeon RX Vega, or Radeon RX 560 graphics card then you are eligible for 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for PC. It seems a bit offensive to put Vega and the Radeon VII in the lowest possible tier but there we go.
Pick up a Radeon RX 570, Radeon RX 580, Radeon RX 590, Radeon RX 5700, or Radeon RX 5700 XT and you’ll get the 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for PC as well as the choice between either Borderlands 3 or Ghost Recon Breakpoint, both of which come with an exclusive in-game item. Whoopee.
In addition to this, there’s a second offer open to the folks who pick up a qualifying AMD Ryzen processor. This one’s a little tastier in our opinion, offering customers the chance to snag a copy of Obsidian’s upcoming sci-fi RPG, The Outer Worlds.
We’ll start at the bottom, where picking up an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, Ryzen 5 3400G, or Ryzen 5 2000 Series CPU will net you three months of Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Buy a Ryzen 7 3700X, Ryzen 5 3600X, Ryzen 7 2700X, or Ryzen 7 2700 and you’ll get the 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for PC plus the choice between Borderlands 3 and The Outer Worlds.
Snag a top-end Ryzen 7 3800X or a Ryzen 9 3000 Series processor and you’ll receive the 3 months of Game Pass for PC as well as both The Outer Worlds and Borderlands 3.
From the looks of things then, if you put together a new build with the latest AMD Ryzen CPU and Radeon RX 5700 Series graphics card then you can net yourself 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for PC, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Borderlands 3, and The Outer Worlds. Not a bad little package, all said and done.
It’s not quite clear how long this offer will be running but if you’re thinking about picking up AMD hardware any time soon then be sure to grab these freebies for your trouble.
Does anyone get tempted in by these game and hardware bundles? Are they your tipping point for a hardware purchase, or just a nice bonus? Let us know!
