If you missed out on the opportunity to play Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s closed beta then you’ve got one more shot at demoing whether it’s the game for you. An open beta test for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will run from September 26th to the 29th, and this time it’s opening up to everyone, whether you pre-order or not.

A pre-load for the open beta will be available from September 24th at 11am BST on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Uplay, and a little bit later at 4pm BST on the Epic Store, if you so choose.

If you’ve already played the closed test for Breakpoint then there is some new content to get stuck into. Ubisoft has added three extra story missions, two new regions to explore (for a total of six), and four maps tailored for 4v4 PvP showdowns.

That’s not all though. I’ve seen some bad trailers in my time, but the new one that’s been sent along with the beta announcement really does take the biscuit. Ubisoft tells me it is was directed by David Leitch, of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, which I believe tells you all you need to know. It’s a live action trailer starring the one and only Lil Wayne.

“More than anything, the key point of all action is to tell a story, and in this spot we’re telling a story with these characters in the world of the game and also the characters in their worlds at home,” said Leitch. “We wanted to make sure we have these distinct characters that jump off the page and that the action defines them in a real particular way. We have this fun juxtaposition with the different characters and their voices too, which is a great conceit.”

Look, I’ll leave no comment, but fair play to you if you find a reason to laugh within the next 5 minutes and 20 seconds, rather than attempting to disable all five of your senses with a pickaxe.
