Panzer Dragoon: Remake announced for PC, out this winter

Previously only announced for Nintendo Switch, to the best of our knowledge, Panzer Dragoon Remake has now been confirmed for PC.

The remake of the classic Sega Saturn on-rails shooter will be coming to PC through Steam this winter. Based on the first gameplay trailer it’s going to be quite the looker compared to the original as well, lavishly updating Panzer Dragoon with snazzy new visuals and high resolution support.

It’s great news for the preservationists as the Sega Saturn is notoriously difficult to emulate in any reliable fashion. Anything which saves us having to dig out an old console is a bonus, and giving it a massive graphical overhaul is the icing on the cake.

For the uninitiated, Panzer Dragoon: Remake is a rail shooter in which you perch atop a giant dragon, flying through several levels ranging from blue ocean cities to subterranean caves, blasting giant insects and battleships along the way.

Here’s some footage from the Nintendo Switch version of Panzer Dragoon: Remake, although we obviously expect the PC version to look even better.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake is out this winter on PC and Nintendo Switch.
