The movie single-handedly responsible for filling millions with a fear of nature itself, Blair Witch was nothing less than a horror phenomenon when it arrived all those years ago. But the games? Not so much. Layers of Fear alumni Bloober Team are here to have another bite at his particular apple with the upcoming Blair Witch though, a story-driven psychological horror game designed to adapt to your reactions to fear and stress.
Blair Witch is out later this month but, in the meantime, Bloober Team has provided us with a trip down this storied woods in the Black Hills, near Burkittsville, Maryland.
It’s a mood setter, more than anything, providing a tour through these cursed woods which hold more than a few dark secrets. Have no fear though, for you’ll have your trusty dog Bullet by your side at all times. I swear, if Bloober Team harms one hair on Bullet’s head…
Blair Witch is stalking its way toward an August 30th launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s going to release day and date on Xbox Game Pass so if you’re looking for a dirt-cheap way to play Blair Witch, there’s your route.
