Another year, another Pro Evolution Soccer. This time though, Konami’s gone and completely changed the name. Say hello to eFootball PES 2020, the only ball kicking simulator which manages to squeeze both football and soccer into the same title. eFootball PES 2020 brings all the goodies of the upcoming season such as update rosters, additional skill techniques, and a revamped master league mode. But what sort of PC will you need to run PES 2020? Let’s find out.

To be honest, it looks as if the biggest change for PES this year is the name change from Pro Evolution Soccer to eFootball PES 2020. I’m sure Konami will suggest plenty has changed under the hood, but when you’re faced with a near-identical set of system specs it definitely raises an eyebrow. eFootball PES 2020’s PC system specs are identical to Pro Evo 2019 aside from one thing – the install size has risen from 30GB up to 40GB.
Suffice to say, long-time PES fans can almost be assured of the performance they can expect from PES 2020. We expect Pro Evo 2020 to run pretty much exactly the same as PES 2019. If you could get 120fps on 1080p in PES 2019, you’re going to be getting near that in eFootball PES 2020.
With all that in mind, we still think Konami is massively over-estimating the hardware required to run PES 20. We think you can get playable frame rates with a lower-end CPU and a lower-end graphics card. The GTX 670 at the minimum spec should play PES 2020 with ease so, if you’ve got a weaker graphics card or processor, there is an eFootball PES 2020 demo on Steam which you can download for free to test.
