The fourth of five major vampiric factions you can join in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been revealed by Paradox Interactive. The ‘Newcomers’, as they’re known, are a mysterious faction of misfits who’ve arrived in Seattle from Europe and carry an obsession with blood magic.
The Newcomers came into existence through a gathering of Tremere warlocks, attracting a wide-ranging bunch of scholars, dreamers, runaways, and others to their blood-sucking cause. They’re led by Professor Viktor Goga, finding themselves fighting an ongoing war with The Baron, vampire crime bosses who view The Newcomers as an existential threat.
It’s all a bit mysterious to be honest, and Paradox still aren’t giving too much away, but we do know the Newcomers will call the University District their hunting grounds.
We now know of four of the five factions available in Vampire – Bloodlines 2, comprising the Pioneers, Camarilla, Baron, Newcomers, and a fifth which is yet to be announced. All of these factions have their history, ideals, motivations, and characteristics, and players will be able to pick and choose who they side with, betray, or pit against one another.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in March 2020.
