The Epic Game Store freebies just keep on rolling, week after week. For the next six games you can grab yourself a free copy of the excellent Minit, a lo-fi puzzle adventure game with a unique hook – you have exactly one minute to beat the game.

Every sixty seconds the world resets and your hero dies, only to be dumped right at the start. Now, that probably sounds impossible, but there are a few things to give you a helping hand. You’ll build up knowledge of the world, for one, but there are also key items and items which will persist from run to run. With each minute-long session you gradually chip away at this adventure, while reaching another safe house will allow you to begin your next run from a new location. 60 seconds isn’t much though, lending a frantic edge to what could otherwise be a fairly relaxing adventure.

Minit is free to add to your Epic Games Store library from now until October 10th.

Next week’s game has also been revealed and it’s a biggie. Paradox Interactive’s Surviving Mars will be free on the Epic Store from October 10th – 17th. It’s a city-building strategy game set on the surface of Mars. It’s nowhere near as deep as your typical Paradox join but it’s still a hefty game which would otherwise cost you £26 on Steam.
