It’s been a long time coming but The Last of Us: Part II is finally ready to step out of the shadows. Invites have been going out for a major TLOU: Part 2 media event which is set to take place on September 24th in Los Angeles.
We know already that Joel and Ellie’s return was shown off behind closed doors to assorted GameStop employees in August, so it was only a matter of time until the rest of the world got a glimpse.
News of the The Last of Us: Part 2 media event comes, oh so predictably, from Geoff Keighley, the videogame equivalent of Morgan Freeman. Seriously, he’s bloody everywhere these days.
Obviously this all means something pretty major is happening in terms of The Last of Us 2. A new trailer seems assured, both of single-player gameplay and the expected multiplayer reveal.
The one remaining big question now is – when is The Last of Us 2 finally out? Previous leaks and rumours have all pointed toward February 2020, and looking at the fairly threadbare line-up in Q1 2020 that sounds like a safe bet. We can already feel the game of the year discussions begin to heat up…
