We’re coming up to the end of the year of free games for the Epic Games Store and this week there’s the truly excellent Rayman Legends up for grabs.
Ubisoft’s beautiful 2D platformer is free to permanently add to your Epic Games Store library from now through until December 6th. All you need is an Epic account and the EGS client. Just add the game to your basket, check out for £0.00, and it’s yours. No payment info is required, for those worried about Epic Store security.
It’s an oldie but a goodie, delivering up heaps of new levels along with reworked Rayman Origins designs. Legends is also an absolute feast for the eyes and ears, probably the peak of the genre, visually, alongside Ori and the Blind Forest.
Rayman Legends was actually the second game I ever reviewed here on GD, way back in 2013. I said then I thought it was one of the best 2D platformers ever made, saying “Rayman Legends is one of the finest platforming experiences you will play this year, possibly this decade”. I don’t think my thoughts have changed one iota since.
Next up on the Epic Games Store free game giveaways is Jotun Valhalla Edition. The top-down, boss rush action game will be free on the EGS from December 5th through to December 12th.
