THQ Nordic have arrived to save us from what could be a dreadfully slow end of the week for news, particularly with Thanksgiving now going on Stateside. It’s for Darksiders Genesis, the new action-RPG Diablo-lite which is due to launch next week.
Strife is the star of the show this time around. The Rider of the White Horse, Strife is the glass cannon sort. He’s all about max damage – shoot first, think about the problems later. There’s a wee snippet of gameplay tucked in at the end, after a brief bit of witty banter, and Strife’s dual-wielding weapons certainly look as if they’re packing a punch. He doesn’t look how I always imagine Strife would, to be honest, he seems a fairly agreeable chap for a man named after conflict and discord.
Darksiders Genesis will offer two playable characters launch, Strife and his brother War, and the whole thing can be played cooperatively, both online or the old-fashioned way with couch co-op. It’s set before the events of the original Darksiders and Lucifer, the demon king, is granting immense power to the demons of Hell.
Darksiders Genesis is coming to PC and Google Stadia on December 5th, with a console version for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch to follow on February 14th, 2020. The system requirements were revealed yonks ago but fret not, Darksiders Genesis shouldn’t be too difficult to run.
