UPDATE: Rockstar has now announced Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming to Steam on December 5th, exactly one month after it launched on the Rockstar Games Launcher and the Epic Games Store.
The one-month timed exclusivity certainly suggests that Rockstar is abiding by Valve’s new Steam Distribution Agreement which says that a game will be ineligible for launch on Steam if it not doesn’t come to the service within 30 days of launching on other PC platforms.
That would certainly be good news for those of you who are boycotting the Epic Games Store. Being permanently locked out from Steam would certainly give some publishers and developers pause for thought.
Original Story: 04-Oct-2019 – Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC announced, launches November 5th
It’s now official, Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC and it’s coming very soon indeed.
Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC launches on November 5th, in exactly one month’s time.
Arthur Morgan’s epic adventure will be coming to the Rockstar Games Launcher, and will also be available to purchase via the Epic Games Store, Greenman Gaming, Humble Store, and Gamestop.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will also be coming to PC but it won’t be launching on Valve’s platform until some point in December. We’d be very interested to know how much Epic had to pay for just a single month of timed exclusivity.
The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will include a number of features exclusive to the platform, such as graphical and technical improvements, extra weapons, bounty hunting missions, gang hideouts, and additional goodies.
If you pre-order before October 22nd through the Rockstar Games Launcher you can choose two free Rockstar games from the following:
Grand Theft Auto III Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Bully: Scholarship Edition L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out on PC on November 5th. The system requirements for Red Dead Redemption 2 will be revealed on October 9th, when pre-orders go live. Rockstar will also be unveiling the first PC screenshots for what should be one of the best-looking PC games of all time.
