Rockstar has put out yet another patch for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. At this point we’ve kind of lost count of how many it’s been but it’s certainly been a lot in the three weeks since launch. That’s pretty much part and parcel of launching a game in a thoroughly broken condition but, on the upside, they are at least working rapidly to fix and remaining issues in what is, performance and bugs aside, an incredible game.

The PC-specific patch for RDR2 is quite a small one this week, weighing in at just 300MB. It’s not short on fixes though, mainly taking aim at an assortment of crash to desktop bugs. It seems just about anything could crash Red Dead Redemption 2, from switching between Vulkan and DX12 to switching input devices or transitioning from Story Mode to Red Dead Online.

It would appear Red Dead 2 hasn’t been the most stable experience for some players but this patch should go some way to alleviating some of the more frustrating issues still remaining. In fact, unless me eyes deceive me, all but one of these fixes is related to crashing issues. The only one that isn’t a bug which causes visual artifacting while using the Vulkan API along with multiple GPUs.
