Kerbal Space Program 2 was announced a couple of months back. Promising some nice new editions over the original, like interstellar vehicles and a civilisation builder to allow you to colonise new worlds. They will also be improving the modding support and are looking to add multiplayer in some form. But we are not sure what that will look like at the moment.
There will also be a concerted effort to overhaul the tutorials so that new gamers can find their way into Kerbal 2. This was certainly a weak point in the original.
During a recent investor meeting Take-Two Interactive (the Kerbal 2 publisher) has said to its stakeholders that it is pushing back Kerbal launch to some point during the fiscal 2021 period, where it will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. They are doing this in order to provide the development team at Star Theory Games more time to make the game as good as possible.
So despite it only just being announced we are also looking at what seems like a postponement on its release.
This suggested release period for Kerbals next release means it will be happening at some point during 1st April 2020 through to 31st March 2021. Quite a large release period and could be that we dont see Kerbal 2 until the end of March 2021.
