Big changes are afoot for the world’s most popular battle royale shooter. Fortnite’s next season could see a total rebrand if a new leak is to be believed.
We’re coming up to the end of Fortnite’s 10th Season, which finishes this Sunday at 11am PST / 7pm BST. The store page for Fortnite on the Italian App Store has inadvertently showcased a major change once this season is up though, touting ‘Fortnite: Chapter 2’.
The leaked artwork appears to feature a new map, supporting a rumour which has been circulating for a while now that Fortnite will be getting its first ever total overhaul. Those who’ve been digging into the files have identified no fewer than 13 new locations, including Camp Cod, Dirty Docks and Power Plant.
We’re none the wiser as to what it all means, to be honest, but there’s a general vibe that the player base may be falling away from Fortnite somewhat and a full refresh could certainly help bring new players on board.
All should be revealed during ‘The End’ Fortnite’s much anticipated live event which is due to take place this coming Sunday at 11am PT / 7pm BST.
