Amazon has been fairly slow to get into the video game market since the announcement of Amazon Games a number of years ago but, amid all the cancelled projects and false starts, MMORPG New World will be coming to PC through in May 2020.

New World Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 4-Core 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-4350 4-Core 4.2 GHz RAM: 8 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory GPU: GeForce GTX 670 2GB or Radeon R9 280 2GB HDD: 35 GB Available Hard Drive Space DX: DirectX 11

New World Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 10 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K 4-Core 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 4-Core 4.2 GHz RAM: 16 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 4 GB Video Memory GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 390X HDD: 35 GB Available Hard Drive Space DX: DirectX 12

So far, so modest with these specs. A mid-range modern system should be capable of blowing New World away. New World will be playable on High visuals at 1080p with a 4-year-old GeForce GTX 970 or a Radeon R9 390X, along with a fairly strong quad-core processor (multi-threading preferable).

System memory required for New World is 16 GB performance memory. Don’t try and play New World without 8 GB. Recommended needs around a 4-5 year old PC to run.

If you’re just to play on the minimum settings, New World’s system specs are far more modest. Half the RAM is needed, along with a lower-end graphics card which is a gen or two older such as the GeForce GTX 670 or Radeon R9 280.

Along with the system requirements, we were also treated to a new cinematic trailer during The Game Awards yesterday. The trailer serves as an introduction to Aeternum, otherwise known as the Eternal Isle, which is the land players will be exploring if they dare step forward into another dangerous time sink of an MMO.

Now that’s what I call bad trailer music.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the New World System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarks and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the New World GPU benchmark chart and we also have an New World Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.
