Tucked away during The Game Awards was the announcement of an all-new Dungeons and Dragons action-RPG, the first such D&D game for, oooh, it must be eight years now. Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance is a co-operative action RPG based on the classic Dungeons & Dragons fantasy franchise.
Some of you may remember the Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance games which cropped up on PlayStation 2. Well, this is basically a continuation of that style of action-focused D&D gameplay, including hop-in couch co-op multiplayer.
You and up to three other players can embark on an epic quest through the mythical lands of Icewind Dale and join beloved D&D characters such as Drizzt Do’Urden, Catti-Brie, Bruenor, and Wulfgar. Known as the Companions of the Hall, they should be familiar names for D&D fans.
Dark Alliance is currently expected to launch in Fall 2020 for PC and consoles. Which consoles? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
