Each season brings with it new items and rewards that you can chase while resetting the ranked ladder, giving you an extra reason to head back in and compete against other players.

The Rocket League Season 2 start date has been locked down to Wednesday, December 9. If you’re reading this article, you can hop into the game and earn those new rewards.

You’ll have until next year to do so, as the Rocket League Season 2 end date is set to occur on March 31, 2021. This makes for a total 16 weeks to nab its competitive rewards.

But what does the new season introduce? For starters, there’s the new Neon Fields arena that dons a futuristic look and is available in Online Playlists, Private Matches, and Free Play.

If you’ve always wanted to mark key moments of a match with songs from the game’s soundtrack, Player Anthems are a new type of customization items that let you do just that.

You can use them when you score a goal, make an epic save, or earn MVP honors. Five anthems are currently available and you’ll find them alongside everything else included in Season 2 detailed on Steam.

As a quick reminder, these are the Rocket League Season 2 start and end dates:

  • Rocket League Season 2 Start Date – Wednesday, December 9, 2020
  • Rocket League Season 2 End Date – Wednesday, March 31, 2021

New PC players will only find Rocket League on the Epic Games Store. Its transition to a free-to-play title came packaged with Epic exclusivity, following Epic Games acquiring developer Psyonix.

Existing Steam users will continue receiving the same content and at the same cadence as their peers using the Epic Games Store.
