Doctor Who: Worlds Apart Trading Card Packs Available

BBC Studios and Reality Gaming Group today announced the launch of Doctor Who: Worlds Apart digital trading card packs.

The Doctor Who: Worlds Apart digital trading card packs enable prospective players to build their collection ahead of the free-to-play tactical card game’s planned 2021 PC release.

A marketplace will also launch early next year, enabling players to trade the cards in their collections with their peers. When the game fully launches, these cards will make up the decks which you’ll use to go against other players.

Doctor Who: Worlds Apart Trading Card Packs

The Doctor Who: Worlds Apart trading card packs feature more than 200 cards based on characters, places and objects taken from the popular TV series’ 57-year history, alongside 13 cosmetic card frames.

You can choose between four different packs. The $4.99 Core Pack is the cheapest and gets you 5 random cards using Core Frames.

Over on the expensive side of things, the Tardis Pack costs $196.30 and gets you 10 random cards, 5 guaranteed to have the Tardis frames, the other 5 coming with the White-Point Star frames.

Some cards will be rarer than others, which is where the marketplace launching next year comes in handy. Cards are also “secured and protected on the blockchain.”

Described as “action-packed”, the game proper puts players in the shoes of a Time Lord and promises “battles fought on digital tabletop boards depicting recognisable locations from Doctor Who.”
