Phasmophobia Ghost Orbs Guide
What are Phasmophobia Ghost Orbs? Why are they important and which tools can help you spot them?
Successfully completing ghost hunts in Phasmophobia requires you to obtain evidence like Ghost Orbs to help determine what type of supernatural baddie you’re going up against.
But since they’re not the only type of evidence and can only be spotted in certain circumstances, you might have trouble properly identifying them at first. That’s what we aim to help with in this guide.
Phasmophobia Ghost Orbs
Phasmophobia Ghost Orbs are a type of evidence that can be spotted solely in the ghost room and only using two types of equipment: the video camera and the head-mounted camera that you can unlock later in the game.
Once you’ve discovered the ghost room, place the video camera (or the teammate equipped with head-mounted camera) in a spot that allows the gadgets to capture as wide an angle as possible.
Make sure to turn off the lights in the room, as it does interfere with your efforts of trying to spot Phasmophobia Ghost Orbs. UV lights don’t seem to impact the cameras in any significant way.
If you’re using the video camera, make sure you first turn it on – indicated by a green light – then make your way back to the van and check the monitor.
You might have to wait a bit for them to pop up, but, you’ll eventually spot Ghost Orbs floating around the room. They look like white dots.
It’s worth noting that some ghosts leave Ghost Orbs as evidence while also causing temperatures to drop to freezing levels.
This makes identifying them trickier, since the camera will also capture your party members’ breath.
Once you see a few Ghost Orbs, however, you should have no trouble telling them apart. Breathing resembles a trail of very small clouds and moves less independently than the orbs.
From what we can tell, six of Phasmophobia’s ghosts leave orbs as evidence: the Jinn, Mare, Phantom, Poltergeist, Shade and Yurei.
