Where Does the Shadowlands Quest Start? – How to Begin
Where does the Shadowlands quest start? How do you get access World of Warcraft: Shadowlands content?
WoW: Shadowlands is now live, players finally getting the chance of following Sylvanas Windrunner into Death’s own domain and, hopefully, putting an end to her plans. If you’re new to the game, you might be unsure how to start the Shadowlands quest.
Blizzard’s MMORPG has racked up quite a bit of content over the years, however, jumping into the latest expansion is anything but difficult.
Where Does the Shadowlands Quest Start
As soon as you log in on a character that’s level 50, you’ll get a pop up message covering a good part of your screen that informs you about Shadowlands going live. There, you can also click the red button with the yellow “Start Quest Now” text.
This will prompt a pop-up quest to appear. Called A Chilling Summons, it will task you with going to your faction’s capital (Stormwind for Alliance, Orgrimmar for Horde) and learn about the fate of your faction’s leaders.
Keep in mind that character levels have been squished during the Shadowlands pre-patch. If you had a level 120 character prior to the level squish, you should be good. Otherwise, you’ll have to spend some time leveling.
Following the new quest markers on your map and screen is enough to point you in the right direction. But, just in case, here’s where you need to go.
As Alliance, you’ll want to head to the stairs leading up to Stormwind Keep. Horde players will want to move towards Grommash Hold.
Talk to Inquisitor Whitemane if you’re Alliance or Nazgrim if you’re Horde, watch the cinematic, then go through the Death Gate that Darion Mograine opens near your position.
You’ll be teleported to Icecrown Citadel in Northrend, where you can speak with Bolvar Fordagon to start the quest titled Through the Shattered Sky.
Completing the ritual involves clicking a shard of the Helm of Domination then moving to the highlighted rune and interacting with the yellow shape.
When all shards are in place, head back to the middle, interact with the helm once more and you’re off to the Maw, for an early taste of the new expansion’s end zone.
That’s how you start the Shadowlands quest that leads you into World of Warcraft: Shadowlands content. For more on Blizzard’s MMORPG, search GameWatcher.
