Theme Park Sim Parkitect Is Getting A Free Co-Op
Publisher and developer Texel Raptor has announced that theme park simulator Parkitect is getting a free multiplayer mode next month.
Slated for a December 8 release, Parkitect’s free multiplayer mode update enables up to 8 players to build a theme park in co-op.
Not only is that not a feature you usually get in theme park sims, but the mode will also let each player see what everyone else is building in real-time.
Parkitect Free Co-op Mutiplayer Mode Update
Once Parkitect’s free multiplayer update launches, joining co-op games will be done through its lobby system or by directly inviting players into your game via the Steam friends list.
The multiplayer mode marks the second anniversary of Parkitect’s full version. If you’re out of the loop, the game lets you build your theme park from scratch, shaping its land, placing buildings, and creating your own role roller coaster.
You’ll also have to manage your park’s finances, ensure that shops remain stocked and that park staff doesn’t ruin your guests’ immersion. A happy guest will likely come back, unless they suffer some horrible accident riding one of your coasters.
If you’ve yet to give Parkitect a shot, it’s currently discounted by 25% during this year’s Steam Autumn Sale, which brings its price down to 18,74€ or your regional equivalent.
