EA’s already confirmed we’ll be getting a new Need For Speed game in 2019, even if it decided to show us absolutely nothing during its E3 EA Play event. In the absence of an official reveal though, a retailer appears to have let slip Need For Speed Heat, an all-new game in the Need For Speed franchise and the successor to the ill-fated NFS Payback.
The listing for NFS Heat has cropped up on Austrian retailer Gameware’s official store page and is available to pre-order on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There’s no official box art for Need For Speed Heat just yet, although it certainly appears as if Game ware has gotten wind of EA’s announcement before the general public has.
As for what else know, well, it’s very little indeed. Ghost Games will almost assuredly be behind the wheel, assuming development duties for the Need For Speed franchise once again. The store listing also provides further confirmation of a 2019 launch date for NFS Heat.
If you’re hoping for any more info then you may need to be patient. EA is rumoured to be holding a press conference during Gamescom 2019. The German gaming event takes place from August 20th – 24th. It’s here where we’d definitely expect to see something Need For Speed-related, as well as deeper looks at FIFA 20 and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
