If you just cannot get enough of Cyberpunk 2077, we’ve got some good news for you – CD Projekt RED has confirmed it has three Cyberpunk games in development. The Polish outfit has five separate studios, with three each working on a different game set in the Cyberpunk universe. Now it’s starting to make sense how CDPR planned to release two AAA titles by the end of 2021.

“We’re working on three Cyberpunk things – the main game and two more,” said CD Projekt Red president Adam Kiciński.

The first of these games is, of course, Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED’s potentially groundbreaking first-person sci-fi RPG. There’s also another game which sounds suspiciously like a rapid-fire sequel, as well as a separate Cyberpunk multiplayer project.

“Our next big project will also be in the Cyberpunk universe, and we’re already working on it and treating it as a really big and innovative project for us,” said Piotr Nielubowicz, CDPR vice president.

It’s a little unclear from the translation of the original article by Bankier whether multiplayer is a feature coming to Cyberpunk 2077 post-launch, or if it’s been spun off into a separate project. We would imagine it’s the latter.

If you’re wondering what the other two studios are doing, one is continuing support for multiplayer card battle Gwent, while the other is working on an unannounced project. We’ll eat our hat if that isn’t the early stages of a new Witcher-related title.

Busy times ahead for CD Projekt RED then, and it sounds as if we can begin to expect the time between its big releases to start contracting with five studios on the game. We know for sure that two AAA projects will be out with the next two and a half years, including Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out on April 16th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
