Another year, another suspiciously hurried launch for the WWE 2K franchise. For whatever reason, 2K has been keeping actual gameplay of WWE 2K20 under wraps but it’s launch time tomorrow and we’ve finally been given the system requirements. WWE 2K20’s PC system specs paint a familiar picture which suggests this year’s outing perhaps isn’t overly different from the last years. Consider us shocked.

WWE 2K20 Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64-bit  CPU: Intel Core i3-3550 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8150 3.6 GHz RAM: 4 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 2GB Video Memory GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7850 DX: DirectX 11 HDD: 50 GB Installation Size

WWE 2K20 Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 10 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz RAM: 8 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290X DX: DirectX 11 HDD: 50 GB Installation Size

I’m not going to lie to you, writing about these annual sports games can be quite tricky, especially the ones where next to nothing changes. WWE 2K20’s PC system requirements are identical to WWE 2K19’s specs and WWE 2K18’s requirements, bar one tiny detail – the minimum spec graphics card has increased from a GeForce GTX 670 up to a GeForce GTX 680. That’s the one and only change, and we’re still inclined to think it’s a mistake on 2K’s part anyway. The minimum spec AMD Radeon HD 7850 stays exactly the same and it’s dramatically weaker than a GeForce GTX 680. We’d be inclined to think this is a typo and the minimum spec Nvidia GPU remains the GeForce GTX 670.

Aside from this, it is business as usual. WWE 2K20 has the exact same minimum and recommended processors as WWE 2K19. The same install size, same RAM usage, same Windows recommendations. To be honest, it’s probably pretty much the same game despite a change of developer. Yukes handing over the reins to Visual Concepts for the first time may indeed mean WWE 2K20 benefited from even less development time than usual.

If none of that is raising alarm bells for you then the good news is you can probably expect identical performance in WWE 2K20 to what you may have experience in the two previous games in the franchise.

The best chance at playing WWE 2K20 at recommended sys specs on a 1920×1080 screen resolution will be if your PC has at least the GeForce GTX 970 4GB/Radeon R9 290X graphics card. The CPU required to meet recommended requirements is either an AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i7-3770 4-Core 3.4GHz processor. This type of gaming rig will deliver you around the 60 Frames per second. For your PC to completely meet the recommended requirements you will also need 8 GB system memory.
