Paradox has been having a might busy weekend, announcing Crusader Kings 3 alongside no fewer than five new expansion packs for pretty much all of its biggest games.
There’s new content inbound over the next couple of months for the likes of Battletech, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, Stellaris, Hearts of Iron 4, and Prison Architect. It’s kind of formidable even daring to think about keeping up with Paradox’s output these days but there should be a little something for everyone here.
Battletech: Heavy Metal
BattleTech: Heavy Metal is a major new expansion for BattleTech which adds eight new mech designs, including seven designs from the tabletop game. BattleTech: Heavy Metal also includes a flashpoint mini-campaign featuring two legendary characters – the Bounty Hunter and the Black Widow of Wolf’s Dragoons. Battletech: Heavy Metal is out on November 21st.
Age of Wonders: Planetfall – Revelations
Age of Wonders: Planetfall – Revelations is the first major expansion for AoW: Planetfall. Age of Wonders: Planetfall – Revelations features an anomalous sites mechanic, additional campaign missions, The Forgotten NPC faction, and new scenarios to play through. AoW: Planetfall – Federations is out in late 2019.
Stellaris: Federations
Stellaris: Federations is a DLC expansion for the original Stellaris. It’s basically the prequel Star Wars trilogy. You know, all about trade federations, diplomacy, and backroom deals. With the Stellaris: Federations expansion, players can extend their diplomatic dominion over the galaxy like never before. Use every trick in the book to gain an edge on friend and foe alike, with a host of new options to influence, manipulate, and dominate without firing a shot. Stellaris: Federations is out in late 2019.
Hearts of Iron 4 – La Resistance
Hearts of Iron IV: La Resistance is a major expansion for Hearts of Iron 4 which adds secret agents, espionage missions and new options for resistance movements. With this expansion, players can send agents into dangerous territory in order to decipher enemy secrets or prepare the ground for an invasion by propping up collaborators who will be happy to help if it can earn them a share of the power. La Resistance is ‘coming soon’.
Prison Architect – Psych Ward
Psych Ward is a small scale DLC expansion for Prison Architect which introduces unpredictable inmates with new behaviors, adds additional management features, and gives players more ways to customize their prisons. Prison Architect – Psych Ward comes to PC and console on November 21st.
