Original: Highly anticpated RPG Cyberpunk 2077 will not eat up 200 GB of your HDD space, publisher and developer CD Projekt Red has confirmed.
In addition to that, the developer has also mentioned that the Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements “are coming soon”.
The subject was brought up after a Cyberpunk 2077 screenshot was used as background when discussing the issues of modern games, massive file sizes counting among them, during Nvidia’s RTX 30 series reveal event.
Cyberpunk 2077 File Size
“The game won’t take up 200GB when installed. You can expect the required HDD space to be on par with other modern titles.” Global Community Lead Marcin Momot said in a tweet.
As modern games range quite wildly in terms of file size, going from 20 GB up to 200 GB, the RPG could still end up taking a good chunk of space on our PCs.
While the @CyberpunkGame system requirements are not out yet (they are coming soon, though!), I wanted to address this topic from reddit. The game won't take up 200GB when installed. You can expect the required HDD space to be on par with other modern titles. pic.twitter.com/tRigjPWLfC

Nevertheless, players will be relieved to hear that they won’t have to delete a ton of stuff or go out and purchase another storage device solely for Cyberpunk 2077.
Games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have gone as far as surpassing a file size of 150 GB and 200 GB, respectively, making them cumbersome to keep around if you’re also looking to play other titles.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on November 19, following a delay back in June.
